ERICH is an initiative of the European Network of Healthcare Chaplains (ENHCC) and is hosted by the Academic Centre for Practical Theology (ACPT) in KU Leuven, Belgium.

• To act as a creative and innovative leadership forum to envision and enable collaborative and innovative approaches to chaplaincy research, research education and research dissemination in Europe and beyond.
• To promote global collaboration and knowledge exchange with institutions, professional bodies and communities with an interest and/or expertise in healthcare chaplaincy research.
• To promote succession planning in field of strategic research development and research education.
• To present papers on particular topics to ERICH’s board, as appropriate/requested to help inform the board’s strategic planning.
